Born in Cambodia, raised in Germany (Idar-Oberstein/Rhineland Pfalz), lived in Spain, France and China and now experiencing the US, Thu-Ly learned the importance of cultural diversity.

She studied law at the University of Greifswald and Wurzburg/Germany and earned a PhD in civil law.

After working in the field of Foreign Direct Investments between Germany and China for more than 10 years, she followed her French husband to the US. Her daughter Laura grows up

with three languages and attends the German Language School of Naperville.

Most recently, Thu-Ly’s professional interests lie in promoting health consciousness through her home bakery Cutiebread and spreading the awareness of higher educational

opportunities for Americans in Germany. She is excited to teach German to children and her approach to fun teaching is through acting.
